The Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Government of India, in association with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), is organizing the 14th edition of `INDIA CHEM 2026’ from 22-24 October 2026 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre,Mumbai, India. The theme for the 2026 edition is “Advantage BHARAT: An Emerging Global Chemicals Hub”.
India Chem is the flagship event of the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Government of India, and is one of the largest composite events of the industry in the Asia-Pacific region, featuring both an Internal Exhibition and Conference.
The Indian Chemicals and Petrochemicals industry is the backbone of the Indian economy, playing a vital role in the growth of various key sectors like automotive, construction, electronics, healthcare, textiles, and FMCG. India is currently the 6th largest producer of chemicals in the world and the 4th largest in Asia. During FY 2025-26, exports of chemicals and petrochemicals stood at USD 46.12 billion, accounting for nearly 10.44% of India’s total merchandise exports.
India Chem 2026 will showcase the enormous opportunities offered by the rapidly growing Indian chemicals and petrochemicals industry and various government initiatives for sustainable growth in the sector. It will provide a platform for investors, both domestic and international, and other stakeholders to interact and forge alliances. This mega event will highlight the investment potential in this industry and support the “Make in India” initiative. It will also facilitate the collaboration and business expansion of foreign companies in India.
During India Chem 2026, events such as the Global CEOs Round Table and Conclaves on different industry segments (i.e., chemicals, petrochemicals, agrochemicals, infrastructure, environment issues, process plant machinery) will be organized. Forums on chemicals and petrochemicals with India-USA, India-EU, India-Russia and India-Japan, as well as an international exhibition with stalls by leading international and domestic companies, will take place.
