We are delighted to inform you that the General Council of the NICCT in its regular annual meeting held on the 3rd of October, 2014, have unanimously elected Mr. Vipin Moharir, the Managing Director of NINtec BV, as the Chairman Elect of the NICCT. He will become the new Chairman after the General Council Meeting in 2015.
In the interim period, he will be consulted about all major policy decisions; develop new ideas and programs to be carried out by the NICCT and formulate plans for further professionalization of the NICCT.
The selection of the Chairman Elect was carried out very meticulously after evaluating the candidates and after taking into account the unanimous opinion of the Advisory Committee which was specially constituted for this purpose. The recommendation of the NICCT Board was presented to the General Council for final approval.
The NICCT has taken this decision because the current Chairman, Mr. Ram Lakhina, who has been leading the NICCT for long time has announced his decision not to seek reelection after the expiry of his current term in 2015. The purpose of this early announcement was to give sufficient time to the Members of the NICCT Board to find a suitable replacement and facilitate a smooth transition.
Mr. Vipin Moharir is a very successful entrepreneur who has been active in the Netherlands India business relations for more than 10 years.
