All Indians, members of the overseas Indian community and friends of India in the Netherlands along with their families are welcome to join celebrations of the 71st Independence Day being organized by the Embassy of India on August 15, 2017 (Tuesday). The celebrations will be held at 10 am at the India House (residence of the Ambassador of India) at Backershagenlaan 19, 2243 AB Wassenaar.
The function will begin with hoisting of the national flag by Ambassador, singing of the National Anthem and reading out of the President of India’s address to the nation. This will be followed by a brief cultural programme and refreshments. The function will conclude approximately by 11 am.
