Re: NICCT and EY Netherlands invitation: Indian Economy: Modi 3.0's Budget 2025
India continues to outperform major economies, with a projected growth of 7% to 7.2% in FY25, spurred by strong fundamental growth drivers. At same time, considering the geopolitical environment and growing consumer demand in India, European MNEs are increasingly focused to invest in India.
From Indian government perspective, as a continued reflection of the Budget 2.0 of 2024, the Budget 2025 is expected to reaffirm the Indian government’s pursuit of making India ‘Vikshit Bharat’ i.e., ‘a developed India’ by 2047. This includes introducing various measures such as making manufacturing in India more competitive through focus on production, introducing production linked incentive schemes for key industries, promoting ease of doing business, rationalization of income-tax law, fostering innovation and sustainability. All these measures are crucial to achieve India’s goal of sustaining long-term economic growth above 6% and to repose India’s position as a formidable economic force to reckon with for global businesses.
In this context, we are delighted to invite the members of NICCT to a special live seminar on the India Budget 2025, organized by NICCT and EY. The program will take place on Thursday 6 March 2025, from 15:00 to 18:30hrs CET at EY Amsterdam (Antonio Vivaldistraat 150, 1083 HP AMSTERDAM). This seminar will feature expert insights from Amit Jain, EY Leader Global Desk EMEIA and India Desk and Erwin Sieders, Tax Partner, EY Netherlands.
