NICCT and EY Invitation: India Interim Budget 2024 – Guiding India’s Growth Momentum Amidst Global Challenges

Indian economy grew at 7.3% in 2023-24 and projected to grow at 6.2% in 2024. As per EY report, India@100, Indian economy is expected to be US$ 26 trillion in 2047 and per capita income would be over US$ 15,000. India now has the largest population with median age of 28 years, offering a large pool of talent and large consumer base with increasing disposable income. Interim Budget 2024 lays roadmap of reach a GDP of US$ 7 trillion by 2030 with focus towards bringing fiscal deficit to 5.1% in 2024-25 and continued increase capital investments. Interim Budget 2024 has focusses on net-zero agenda with initiatives towards roof-top solarization, gap funding for offshore wind-farming, support EV ecosystem around manufacturing and charging infrastructure and attracting FDI in services and manufacturing with bilateral trade agreement and incentives.
