Registration is now open for the 11th edition of the Netherlands India Business Meet (NIBM) with this year’s theme: Tomorrow’s Business – TODAY! The NIBM is organized in cooperation with HCL and co-sponsored by ING and Municipality of the Hague.

The NIBM will take place on the 10th of May at the Grand Hotel Amrath Kurhaus from 12:00 – 19:30.

A number of breakout sessions are set with remarkable speakers who are market leaders in business innovations. The breakout sessions are:

We are honoured to have an internationally renowned keynote speaker, trend watcher and futurist – Mr. Richard van Hooijdonk at this year’s NIBM. He presents the weekly radio program ‘Mindshift’ on BNR news radio as well as working together with RTL television. Mr. van Hooijdonk will give us an oversight of upcoming trends in various sectors and pin point where he sees the future of innovation.

This will be followed by Mr. Mani Nagasundaram (SVP & Head of Application Business FS) at HCL Technologies Ltd. who will be giving us a deep dive in “Innovation and Digital Transformation in the 21st Century Enterprise” in the preliminary session.

Mr. Michel Rademaker will be taking over the podium to give us an insight on what to expect from the breakout session of “Data is the new oil”. Mr. Rademaker is the Deputy Director of The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies (HCSS) who will be addressing the topic of “Big Data: What does it mean for tomorrow’s business and Big Data and Security, Responsible by Design”.

The plenary session – Impact investing in India for social development, will be moderated by Sarbani Bhattacharya (Partner Financial Services – KPMG). This plenary session will attempt to showcase some fantastic efforts made to boost human development in India as well as discuss the financial aspects of making sustainable social impact in an economy of 1,2 billion people. The panel of eminent persons in the field will briefly share their experiences followed by a discussion thrown open to the house.

We will be commencing the day with The Netherlands India Business Café giving attendees and participants the opportunity to connect and network at “Hotspots” based on the themes set around the breakout sessions. The Netherlands India Business Café allows optimized networking opportunities between individuals with similar business interests and subject matter experts.

LADY OF CEREMONY: Bianca Ghose – Global Head Content Marketing – HCL Technologies

Bianca is a senior brand communications and content marketing professional who plays at the intersection of communications, interactive content and marketing. A journalist & storyteller at heart, Bianca has spent over a decade with some of India’s most credible news organizations – NDTV, CNBC & Thomson Reuters – before moving to branded content in 2014.

As the head of Content Marketing at HCL Technologies, a $7 bn global technology company, Bianca leads the content strategy for the organization across digital & social, and oversees all external content initiatives to ensure a consistent global experience of the message, across platforms. She helps conceptualize, activate and map content and thought leadership programs across all business lines to help increase audience interactions with HCL’s digital content. Bianca is responsible for establishing workflows to institutionalize seamless content ideation, creation & integration across the organization.

Bianca is a regular speaker at industry events on Content & Digital disruption, and guest lectures at media schools on the changing digital media landscpae, the business of journalism and the digital marketing ecosystem. She is an Executive Council member with the Content Marketing Council of India, and an Advisor to the Content Marketing Summit Asia.


Karsten Klein – The Hague’s alderman for Economic Affairs, Harbours, Welfare and Health as well as the Scheveningen district

The City of The Hague is on a mission to demonstrate the potential of doing business and doing good. Vipin Moharir – Chairman, Netherlands India Chamber of Commerce & Trade (NICCT)

Vipin Moharir is an ‘Innovation Agent’ with over twenty years of managerial & consulting experience. He appears frequently in the media and regularly speaks at events.

He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences Engineering from Pune University, India & a Master in Business Administration from Maastricht, The Netherlands. Vipin worked in the USA & UK with Multinationals before deciding to undertake his own entrepreneurial adventure.

Vipin is a founding member & director of the Gateway NINtec Group Of Companies. The Group offers Innovative Technology & Media solutions for various industries through its offices in 17 countries, with India as one of their production facilities. The Group demonstrates a unique debt-free, organic growth strategy in the past 2 decades. The Group is poised to engage in major M&A activities in the near future to expand their global footprint.

Vipin has been a dedicated and active board member of the NICCT. In June 2015, he was elected by the General Council as the Chairman of the NICCT.

With the unique blend of Indian background combined with Dutch/International exposure, he has evolved into a serial entrepreneur at ‘heart and soul’. Vipin believes fervently that “There is no substitute for hard work”.


Richard van Hooijdonk – International keynote speaker, trend watcher and futurist

Richard van Hooijdonk presents the weekly radio program ‘Mindshift’ on BNR news radio as well as working together with RTL television. Mr. van Hooijdonk will give us an oversight of upcoming trends in various sectors and pin point where he sees the future of innovation.

With his international research team, he investigates tech trends like robotics, drone technology, autonomous transport systems, Internet of Things, virtual reality, biotech, nanotech, neurotech, blockchain, 3D and 4D printing and of course augmented and virtual reality and their impact on various industries. Findings are published weekly in the form of compelling articles, e-books and white papers.


Michel Rademaker – Deputy Director – The Hague Center for Strategic Studies (HCSS)

Michel Rademaker is the Deputy Director of HCSS and has many accomplishments. In addition to  writing several book chapters, and numerous research reports and articles. He also served as secretary of the pilot joint venture TNO Clingendael Centre for Strategic Studies for three years and is one of the co-founders of its successor, HCSS.

At HCSS he is responsible for business development. He is particularly interested in setting up multistakeholder projects on new and upcoming security and politico-economic themes. For example, he and his team supported the development of the Dutch national security strategy and crisis management exercises.

Mr. Rademaker was also an initiator of The Hague Security Delta, the biggest security cluster in Europe, and continues to lead projects for this cluster. His fields of expertise include security strategy, policy, concepts and doctrines, technology surveys and assessments, and serious gaming techniques. He also initiated the RMS Platform, where his fields of expertise include the geopolitical and economic security implications of raw materials and energy supply, and the development of policies. He frequently acts as moderator in workshops, as a trainer, as guest lecturer at various universities and speaker at conferences, and as a commentator in news media.

Mr. Rademaker will be speaking at the preliminary session on the topic: Big Data: What does it mean for tomorrow’s business and Big Data and Security, Responsible by Design. He will also be a lead panelist for the break out session:  Data is the new oil.


Santosh Kumar – Head of Innovation Labs – HCL Technologies Ltd

(Moderator for Breakout session: Fintech: The Future of Financial Services)

Santosh career is rooted in the achievements including doing a “startup” within the organization – setting up and running of an Innovation Lab in London for a large strategic financial services client.

In his role as head of Innovation labs, he has helped clients set up innovation labs, embrace cultural change and new ways of working, connect with Fintech startups, and move them into the future digital operating model.

He maintains a proven capability that has earned customer trust and respect thereby driving significant growth for the organization. He was also instrumental in shaping a number of innovative service offerings & business models.

He is a certified iCoach from Cornell University. He is also certified in Emerging Leadership Program from Harvard Business Publishing, specializing in the Innovation, Strategy, Leadership, Customer Focus and Corporate Governance.


Giles Slinger – Managing Director – Concentra Analytics Europe

Giles has worked in the UK, Japan, France and the Netherlands. He has a PhD in Economics from Cambridge University. He has 20 years of consulting experience, starting at A.T. Kearney. Since 2012 he has been Product Director for OrgVue at Concentra and since 2015 the Managing Director of Concentra Analytics Europe.

Giles’s areas of interest are Organisational Analytics and Organisation Design. He has chaired CIPD conferences on HR Analytics and delivered its HR Analytics training course, created revolutionary tools for fast feedback and produced reports on Employee Engagement methods in FTSE-100 companies. He is currently working with clients across Europe, UK and the Americas.


Floris Jan Bovelander  Founder – One Million Hockey Legs

Floris Jan Bovelander is former International hockey player, Olympic Gold medallist and world champion. Together with his brother Bovelander started a hockey company Bovelander & Bovelander in 1996. Bovelander & Bovelander are specialists in hockey and sport events. More than 10.000 Dutch children are coached and trained every year by one of their events.

In 2015 Bovelander started One Million Hockey legs a project initiated by the MoU signed between Indian and Dutch ministers of Sports, and is motivated to increase the level of quantity and quality grassroots hockey and develop the life skills of children in India.


 Simanta Das – CEO – Stalhmarg

Simanta Das is the CEO of Stalhmarg in the Netherlands focusing on creating long term sustainable solutions through effective use of capital in Healthcare, Technology, Renewable Energy and Tacit Knoweldge Services. He is the chairman and founder of Ayursundra, which is developing  Healthcare delivery solution in India, including hospitals, one stop medical centers and super specialty units  to make quality healthcare affordable by enhancing efficiency and improving productivity within these, to include the less privileged.  He has also started Ziksana in New York, USA, an easy to use multi-media Educational Technology platform that enables Learners to chase their curiosities while learning rather than the mechanics of it. Further, Simanta is a board member of 21st Century Informatics, an Healthcare IT solutions company, providing IT solutions to over 200 hospitals and 400 laboratories worldwide.

Simanta has been the Chief Strategy and Technology Officer for Kempen Merchant Bank and the Global Head of the Healthcare Innovation Group, Investment Banking at ABN AMRO in the Netherlands. He remains an eternal student of Physics, Philosophy and Logic having studied Experimental High Energy Physics at CERN and Management at MIT.


 

Valentin Post – Deputy Managing Director – WASTE

Valentin Post is Deputy Director and Senior Finance, Sanitation and Waste Advisor at WASTE, Netherlands. Worked for over 10 years at the UN, mainly in environmental management of the industry. He has been at WASTE well over 10 years where he managed the Waste Venture Facility, and Guarantee Funds. He is the Co-founder of the Financial Inclusion Improves Sanitation and Health (FINISH), a € 100 M public private partnership in India as well as the Co-Founder FINISH in Kenya, a € 12 M public private partnership. He is co-author of the financing sanitation paper series. Board member in Programme Board FINISH (Chair), FINISH INK (Chair), Practica, Finish Services Management Company Pvt. Ltd., Waste Kenya Ltd.


Karan Singh Bajwa – CEO – BioBoxx

Karan Singh Bajwa born in Groningen, the Netherlands with Indian decent.  At the age of 15, Karan was recruited to play basketball in the United States of America and attended high school in Durham, North Carolina and went on to play NCAA basketball in Palm Beach Florida, South Carolina, and Mississippi. He has also graduated with a degree in medicine and in 2013 came back to Groningen to start another master degree in Biomedical Sciences at the university of Groningen which was completed in 2015.

In the summer of 2015, Karan was invited as a student on a trade-mission to India with prime-minister Mark Rutte and a large Dutch delegation.

During his education at the RUG he did scientific research on what at the time was an upcoming concept called BioBoxx. Since last summer they have taken BioBoxx to Groningen and it has become a collective concept with much enthusiasm from the city, the hospitals, the horeca, the inhabitants, local sports teams, and the media. They have made BioBoxx Groningen a project that creates a win-win situation for all parties involved, also sustainability and corporate social responsibility.


Sarbani Bhattacharya – Partner Financial Services – KPMG

Sarbani has played a significant role in the development of new clients, identifying new opportunities and multidisciplinary value propositions for clients. She facilitates global teams, proposals and professionalises our approach to account management particularly for global clients. She also brings to bear her previous experience in buying by facilitating our response to our clients’ global vendor management teams.

She brings to bear her experience with global markets and other geographies to drive business relationships with her clients.

Sarbani leads a professional women’s group “Blonde Tafel” Eindhoven chapter. She has been an active member of the Board of the International School Eindhoven in the past and also engages in charity programs and leadership development courses for NGOs. She is a leading member of the India practice for KPMG Netherlands.
