FOSTERING STRONGER INDO DUTCH BUSINESS RELATIONS
LAUNCH NICCT INDIA IN THE PRESENCE OF PRIME MINISTER RUTTE
The Netherlands India Chamber of Commerce and Trade (hereafter: NICCT) is delighted to announce
the official launch of its India chapter, NICCT India, a landmark event which took place on Monday, 11
September 2023 in Bangalore in the presen ce of His Excellency Prime Minister Mark Rutte.
The occasion took place during the
Dutch Economic Mission to India being scheduled from Sunday
10th of September until Thursday 14th of September 2023.
NICCT India marks a significant milestone in streng
then ing economic ties between the Netherlands
and India. It aims to foster collaboration, trade and investment opportunities for business from both
nations , thereby contributing to the growth and development of both countries.
Edith Nordmann, Chairman of NICCT, remarked: ‘The joint inauguration ceremony in India, featuring
our Prime Minister and attended by Dutch companies following a successful B20 Summit and G20
summit under India’s leadership, underscores the strong commitmen t of both countries to boost
bilateral trade. NICCT India will serve as a platform for fostering connections and interactions between Dutch and Indian business leaders, government representatives, and various stakeholders.
Moreover, it will simplify the pr ocess for Dutch SMEs entering the Indian market and vice versa,
ensuring a smooth ‘soft landing’ for them
The economic mission to India brings together Dutch companies, entrepreneurs and government
representatives with the aim of fostering partnerships and exploring investment opportunities within
the Indo Dutch business corridor.
NICCT India’s launch aligns with the overarching goal of the Economic Mission, which is to strengthen
trade relations and explore collaborations.
