NHPC Limited (A Government of India Enterprise) is the largest hydropower development organization in India and presently has an installed renewable energy capacity of approx. 7.1 GW and with having capabilities to undertake all the activities from conceptualization to commissioning of hydro projects, intends to reach a renewable energy capacity of 27 GW by 2030. NHPC has an authorized share capital of ₹ 15,000 crores, paid-up share capital of ₹ 10,045.03 crore and an investment base of ₹ 74,715.12 crore as on March 31, 2023 and is listed on the Indian stock exchange.
The company has also diversified in the field of Solar & Wind energy development etc. As a part of this initiative, NHPC Limited intends to venture into the development of Offshore Wind Projects and are looking into various Offshore Wind Energy Project opportunities in India. Recently, MNRE (Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, GoI) has published a “Strategy for development of Offshore Wind Energy Projects in India” and is looking for allocating different blocks of Coastal Regions at Gujarat and Tamil Nadu amounting to 37 GW under different models from 2023-2030. Hence, NHPC Limited intends to form an Empanelment of companies with extensive prior knowledge and experience of offshore wind project development across the globe in order to participate in the afore mentioned bidding process.
For this purpose, “Expression of Interest (EOI) from Any Indian/Global Company for Empanelment with NHPC Ltd regarding the Development of Offshore Wind Power Projects in India” has been published vide CPP PORTAL https://eprocure.gov.in/eprocure/app under the Tender ID: 2024_NHPC_788618_1 (Attached herewith: Corrigendum_No_5) on 09.01.2024 and the Last date of Offline submission of EOI Application is 20.05.2024 (Corrigendum attached herewith).
