Netherlands India Chamber of Commerce & Trade (NICCT) Launches India Chapter
Dr. Sanjay Pradhan Appointed Chair
The Netherlands India Chamber of Commerce & Trade (NICCT), a leading platform since 2001 committed to enhancing economic and business relations between the Netherlands and India, is pleased to announce the official formation of its NICCT India board and the appointment of Dr. Sanjay Pradhan as Chair.
Dr. Pradhan brings a wealth of global leadership experience to this role. He is currently President of the World Forum for Ethics in Business (WFEB), former CEO of the Open Government Partnership, and former Vice President of the World Bank. A globally recognized voice on governance and ethical leadership, he is also a recipient of the World Economic Forum’s Social Innovator of the Year Award.
His appointment comes at a pivotal time in Netherlands–India relations, as the anticipated EU–India Free Trade Agreement is expected to accelerate bilateral trade, investment flows, and strategic collaboration.
As Chair of NICCT India, Dr. Pradhan will work closely with both the India and Netherlands Boards to:
• Support businesses in navigating opportunities arising from evolving trade frameworks, including the EU–India FTA
• Convene senior leaders from industry and government for high-impact dialogue
• Address practical challenges faced by companies operating across the corridor
• Strengthen collaboration between private sector stakeholders and public institutions
NICCT serves as a strategic bridge between Dutch and Indian businesses, facilitating trade, investment, and partnerships across sectors. Through high-level dialogue, market intelligence, and practical business support, NICCT Netherlands and NICCT India enables companies to navigate regulatory environments, identify opportunities, and build sustainable cross-border collaborations.
The launch of NICCT India and appointment of Dr. Sanjay Pradhan as its chair, marks a significant step in expanding the organization’s footprint and deepening its on-the-ground engagement in one of the world’s fastest-growing economies.
NICCT provides a results-driven platform that helps Indian and Dutch businesses expand their businesses in both countries by means of curated high level programs, and timely insights on policies and opportunities. It also enables direct engagement with policymakers and industry leaders to address challenges and accelerate partnerships.
